Baboon

Everyone gathered at a rock plateau. The hunter who had killed the baboon was explaining how had shot the animal with big arm gestures. He signaled to us that we should take pictures. He proudly sat next to his trophy, his bare back and his trousers red of blood.
Wood was brought quickly to the plateau and a fire was made. After the photo shoot it was time to remove the organs and skin the baboon. Some organs were given to the dogs, some were eaten raw and some placed in the fire to get roasted. The skinning was a bloody event, but the kids from my tour group were not afraid at all. Some even helped when they were given a knife.
Full of stories and with many spectacular pictures we returned to our campsite in the afternoon. Cooks Raphael and Steven had prepared us a delicious meal, but funnily enough, hardly anyone touched the chicken legs.
